Dogwood Blossom Drapes

Drapes for the family/TV room in the lower level of the house. The drapes and valence's are lined and have light block material. With some of the left over material we covered a couple of throw pillows.

Curtains and valences for one of the dining areas.

A view of both dining areas.

Curtains and valences for the other dining area. We made drapes for seven windows for this client and I do believe that we will be making more in the near future.

Master Bedroom Decor Project

With that high ceiling and one window making the wall feel off balance this client was at a loss. She had fabric and trim and sort of an idea but didn't know how to make it work. After consultations and drawings we finally came up with this total look.

The completed bedroom.

Details showing coordinated pillows for the bed using some of the fabrics from the drapery.

The single window on the opposite wall with a simple complimentary drapery treatment and a chair recovered with fabric left over from the bed pillows, completes the room.

Swing Chair Cushion & Canopy

The client had purchased a swing set for a really good price. After about a year the fabric was not holding up. This shows the recovered seat cushion and new canopy sewn out of Sunbrella® which will last much longer.

Original condition of the seat cushions for a swing, or slider, outdoor bench. Had to be careful with the removal of the old fabric so as to use it as a pattern for the new covers.

Recovered seat cushions prior to delivery to the client.

Bassinet Ensemble

This client picked up a bassinet at a second hand store, which needed at little TLC. She re-wove some of the wicker and painted it. She could not find the bedding for it. I was able to make a mattress, waterproof mats, sheets, a blanket, bassinet skirt with matching baby bumper. This was a gift to her daughter-in-law.

Baby's Crib Ensemble

Finished patch-work baby blanket for the bassinet. We also made a custom sized mattress for a non-standard bassinet complete with water proof padded liner and sheets.

Child's Doll Stroller

New mattress, ruffle, canopy, pillow and blanket for an old doll stroller. The following is an E-mail we received from the client: "Thank you so much for redoing the wicker doll carriage in just under a week and adding your own special touch with the doll blanket ! My granddaughter, Ashton, LOVES it! She takes the pillow and blanket with her when the family goes out in order to keep her dolls comfortable! Thank you again!"

Framed Window Curtain

Back and front view of a framed oval window curtain. The client has too much sun in the morning for the window to stay open. A carpenter made the frame and we attached the curtain material. We gathered it to replicate the curtains in the same room. With a hinge put on the side the client could open and close the window treatment.

Detail of the window side of the curtain. The fabric is stapled flush with the frame so as to close properly.

Detail of the room side of the curtain. The double welting is in place to hide fabric's fasteners.

Chair Cushions & Matching Pillows

We had to make new cushions for two chairs. Shown here are completed cushions with matching custom made throw pillows. Please note the care taken with the pattern on the fabric.

The fit of the new cushions is just perfect. These cushions add to the comfort of these old chairs.

Bench Cushion with Coordinated Pillows

Photo of the bench cushion with 3 of the six pillows. We also recovered 10 slip seats in the same fabric.

Matching Pillows

Four throw pillows with rope welting.
